The GCS All For Charity Online Taekwondo Open is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 22, with remote poomsae and kyorugi kicking competition to be held.

It is being organised by GCS chapters from Victoria in Australia and Portland in the United States.

Organisers maintain all proceeds will go to GCS charitable activities, with a donation of $65 (£48/€55) per entry - plus $35 (£26/€30) for additional entries - expected. 

THF athletes can enter for free, however.

GCS International is a South Korean non-government organisation with a stated mission of eradicating world poverty through capacity-building programmes in developing nations and empowering civil society.

Its President, Chungwon Choue, is also World Taekwondo President and the THF chairman.

The THF and GCS International signed a Memorandum of Understanding in May 2016, vowing to promote peace education, cooperate on projects and exchange staff.

Linda Pace, President of the GCS chapter in Victoria, is poomsae director and chair of Para poomsae for World Taekwondo Oceania.

Various competition categories are on offer in the GCS All For Charity Online Taekwondo Open, including Para poomsae, family poomsae, freestyle poomsae performed to music and sparring - which consists of kyorugi kicking combinations.

The youngest age category is for taekwondo players eight and under, and there are 10 age categories in total up to over-70.

Entries will need to be recorded and then submitted without being edited in any way.
