An invitation to the seminar has been sent by Liu Xin, the vice-chairman and secretary-general of Hangzhou 2022, to the 44 National Paralympic Committees (NPCs) eligible to take part at the Asian Para Games.

The Chefs de Mission seminar is scheduled for November 18 and 19, and is described Hangzhou 2022 as "a milestone for the preparation" for the Asian Para Games.

It offers NPCs an opportunity to learn more about policies and procedures that will be in place at next year's multi-sport event and how preparations are progressing in the Chinese city.

Hangzhou 2022 revealed that the event is also designed to enable NPCs to provide feedback to the Organising Committee and put forward any requests or demands.

An introduction to preparations for the Games is first on the agenda, before an outline of the measures in place for topics such as competition registration, Para athlete classification, arrival and departure from Hangzhou, and transportation, catering and accommodation in the city.

As well as leaders from Hangzhou 2022, representatives from the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC), the China Disabled Persons' Federation and the General Administration of Sport of China are set to attend the seminar.

Hangzhou 2022 has vowed to "keep strengthening its communication with the big family of the APC and the NPCs" with less than 12 months to go before the Asian Para Games are set to begin.

Last month, organisers released The Torch entitled Laurels for the Games to mark reaching the one-year to go stage.

The Asian Para Games is scheduled to be held from October 9 to 15 next year, with approximately 4,000 competitors expected in 22 sports.

The event is returning to China, which hosted the inaugural edition in Guangzhou in 2010.

It is set to follow the Asian Games in Hangzhou, which are scheduled for September 10 to 25 next year.
