South Korean athletes dominated the men's and women's recurve competitions at the Asian Archery Championships, claiming all eight semi-final places in Dhaka in Bangladesh.

Rio de Janeiro 2016 gold medallist Lee Seung-yun eliminated the last remaining Bangladeshi archer, Mohammad Hakim Ahmed Rubel, from the competition 30-27, 27-29, 29-28, 28-27 to claim a 6-2 overall victory.

Lee won the gold medal in the 2017 event, which was also held in Dhaka.

The first seed will meet compatriot and two-time winner Lee Woo-seok in the last four after he dispatched Sanzhar Mussayev 6-0.

The Kazakh was out of his depth as Lee eased to a 29-26, 29-28, 30-29 win.

Han Woo-tack produced a sensational comeback against India's Pravin Ramesh Jadhav to steal a semi-final spot.

Jadhav shot a perfect score in the first two rounds as he looked to be cruising into the next round.

However, Han capitalised as complacency set in on his opponent to win 25-30, 28-30, 29-28, 30-29, 30-27.

He is set to face fellow South Korean Kim Pil-joong in the semi-final as he beat India's Salunkhe Parth Sushant 27-30, 28-27, 30-28, 28-29, 30-28.

The South Korean dominance continued in the women's recurve event.

Oh Yejin and Lim Hae-jin both produced 6-0 victories against India's Ridhi and Madhu Vedwan, respectively.

They will meet in the next round.

The three-time world champion Ryoo Su-jung overcame a tough challenge from Komalika Bari.

The Indian took the first two rounds but could not put the nail in the coffin as tournament first seed Ryoo came away with a 28-29, 28-29, 29-25, 29-28, 29-27 win.

Jung Dasomi completed the country's clean sweep with a 27-27, 29-27, 29-26, 27-26 victory over Bangladesh's Diya Siddique.

The men's and women's semi-finals are set to take place on November 19.

In the men's compound, 2021 World Cup winner Abishkek Verma of India crept past Iranian Mohammadsaleh Palizban 149-147 to book his semi-final spot.

He is set to challenge countryman Mohit after his 148-144 win against Amir Kazempour of Iran.

Kazakhstan's Sergey Khristich and South Korean Kim Jong-ho round out the bracket with victories against India's Rishabh Yadav and South Korea's Kang Dong-hyeon, respectively.

More South Korean success followed in the women's compound as Kim Yun-hee beat Iran's Geesa Bybordy 148-147, Oh Yoo-hyun downed India's Priya Gurjar 145-144 and So Chae-won eliminated compatriot Song Yun-soo 147-143.

Jyothi Surekha Vennam claimed the last place in the semi-finals after triumphing 148-146 in an all-Indian battle.

Compound semi-finals are due to be contested on November 18.
