The event in Florida saw athletes complete a sprint triathlon, consisting of a 750 metres swim, 18.3 kilometres bike leg, and 5km run.

World champion Danz earned victory in the women’s PTS2 class event, with the two-time Paralympic silver medallist completing the course in a time of 1 hour 16min 13.6sec.

Three-time world champion and Rio 2016 bronze medallist Melissa Stockwell, also from the US, finished second in 1:19.08.3.

The 2021 world champion Kelly Elmlinger was the clear winner of the women’s PTS4 event, after she crossed the line in 1:10.33.4.

The all-American race saw Emma Meyers and Kendra Herber round off the top three in 1:21.03.3 and 1:24.04.9, respectively.

Grace Norman, the Paralympic champion at Rio 2016 and silver medallist at Tokyo 2020, finished top of the women's PTS5 standings in 1:05:10.6.

Leah Kaplan followed her American team-mate in 1:30:56.5.

The remaining women’s events were won be foreign athletes, with Canada’s Jessica Tuomela, a former swimmer who won a Paralympic silver medal at Sydney 2000, crossed the line first in the PTVI event in 1:08.55.5

Deborah Chucoski and and McClain Hermes, both of the US, rounded off the podium in the visually impaired race in times of 1:18:39.7 and 1:27:37.1.

Brazil’s Jessica Ferreira was the winner of the women’s PTWC class event in a time 1:10.54.5, ending over three minutes clear of Canada’s Leanne Taylor, who finished in 1:14.07.7.

The PTWC men’s competition saw Howie Sanborn emerge as the winner, the American completing the event in 1:03:00.6.

Brazil’s Fernando Aranha proved his closest challenger, finishing second in the class in 1:06:13.2.

Kyle Coon dipped below the one-hour mark to win the men’s visually impaired title, clocking 59:36.1 in the PTVI event, with compatriot Own Cravens finishing second in 1:01:13.5.

The fastest time across all the classifications was achieved by Brazil’s Ronan Cordeiro, winner of the men’s PTS5 title in 58:04.7.

Chris Hammer of the US and Canada’s Stefan Daniel also finished in under an hour, completing the top three in 59:14.2 and 59:38.9, respectively.

The PTS2 men’s competition saw another all US top three, led by Adam Popp in 1:13:16.1.

Mohamed Lahna followed in 1:16:29.9, with Chain Perez third at 1:23.20.6.

Eric McElvenny emerged as the winner of the men’s PTS4 race by completing the event in 1:03:09.7, 53 seconds in front of fellow American Erik Hultquist.

Brazil’s Jorge Luis Fonseca was third in 1:04.42.7.

The PTS3 title was claimed by Christopher Marston in 1:15:40.2, with Canada’s Hicham Boufekane second in 1:43:00.1.
