With just 12 points originally separating Kingsbury and Japan’s Ikuma Horishima at the start of the day, whoever came out on top was going to end the season as the winner.

The tightness between the two competitors went down to the wire with Kingsbury scoring 86.27 and Horishima being only 0.04 behind his opponent.

Taking bronze was Sweden’s Walter Wallberg with a total of 85.13.

Following the conclusion of the men’s moguls’ season, the standings ended with Kingsbury on top on 672 points, Horishima on 640 and Wallberg on 405.

The women’s moguls season finished with a similarly tight climax after Laffont secured top spot in the final leg.

Her score of 86.86 was enough to overcome Australian Jakara Anthony’s total of 86.43.

However, the key to Laffont’s Crystal Globe triumph was Japan’s Anri Kawamura falling to third with a score of 82.54.

This resulted in Laffont topping the standings by a single point with 610 compared to her opponent's 609.

Anthony concluded her moguls season in third with 585 points.

Tomorrow is scheduled to see the finale of the dual moguls and the overall moguls’ seasons where the Crystal Globes in those disciplines will be decided.
