Former world champion Justina Di Stasio of Canada joined Venezuela's María Acosta in taking bronze in the 76kg.

Di Stasio beat Colombia's Tatiana Renteria 3-2, while Acosta saw off Argentina's Linda Machuca 13-11.

At 62kg, American defending champion Kayla Miracle was forced to withdraw from the final due to injury against Canada's Ana Godinez Gonzalez.

Brazil's Laís Nunes de Oliveira and Mexico's Alejandra Romero Bonilla were 7-0 and 5-2 winners respectively against Colombia's Andrea Gonzalez Gongora and Cuba's Yolanda Cordero Vargas in the bouts for bronze.

Cuba's Yaynelis Sanz Verdecia at 57kg and Venezuela's Soleymi Caraballo Hernandez at 68kg were the other winners on the final day of women's freestyle competition.

Sanz Verdecia beat Mexico's Alma Valencia Escoto 5-1 to clinch the continental title for the first time, but her compatriot Hangelen Llanes Echevarria lost 12-2 to Caraballo Hernandez in the higher weight category.

Canada's Alexandria Town and Brazil's Giullia Rodrigues Penalber de Oliveira in the 57kg, and Yessica Oviedo of Dominican Republic and Gabriela Pedro Da Rocha of Brazil at 68kg were the other medallists as they all took bronze.
