Mohammad Rifdean Masdor of Malysia and Seksit Thimadee of Thailand took the bronzes for the men’s 51kg class while Thailand’s Rodnok Ophat and Malaysia’s Athachai Saiprawat achieved the same feat in the men’s 67kg division.

Nguyễn Thị Hằng Nga of Vietnam followed with a triumph over Filipino boxer Renelyn Dacquel Dasalla in the women’s full contact 48kg class.

Indonesia’s Nadya Nakhoir and Thailand’s Boonpeng Kanwara added to their nations’ medal collections with the bronze medals.

The hosts’ Vang Huynh Thi Kim enjoyed more success with the women’s full contact under-65kg final, sweeping away the Philippines Zephania Ngaya Pag-a.

Toch Rachna of Cambodia and Diandra Ariesta Piete were the others to take golds in the full-contact discipline.

Rachna secured the men’s full contact 57kg title after defeating Arunno Sivapan of Thailand.

Malaysia’s Seaw Wei Sheng and Thongbang Seuaphom progressed through the tournament to win bronzes for their respective nations.

Piete bettered Gretel De Paz Cordero in the women’s full contact 56kg group while Thailand’s Surachada Namrak and Vietnam’s Nhi Le Thi completed the podium.

Nguyễn Quang Huy was the final kickboxing gold medallist for Vietnam after claiming the men’s low kick 60kg title against Meng Hong Kan.

The other premier low kick medals were shared between other countries with Thailand’s Chaiwat Sungnoi winning in the men’s 54kg against Cambodia’s Meng Hong Kan and Philippines Jean Calude Saclag overcoming Chaleamlap Santidongsakun, another Thailander, in the men’s 63.5kg.

Thongchai Thapphli put Thailand top of the podium for the second time in the men’s 71kg, defeating Cambodia’s Lvay Chhoeung.

Gina Araos Iniong also gave the Philippines more golden success in the women’s 60kg after beating Waraporn Jaiteang of Thailand.

Amanda La Loupatty secured the final gold following his success against Philippines’ Claudine Veloso Decena.

Vietnam are flying high on 24 golds for the competition so far with Malaysia in second on 11 and Indonesia third on seven.

The Hanoi 2021 Southeast Asian Games are scheduled to continue until the Closing Ceremony on May 23.
