Britain came out on top in the first senior finals of the day at the Fiera Expo and Convention Centre, triumphing in the women's DMT and men's tumbling events.

Bethany Williamson scored 25.300 in the women's DMT final, with Kim Beattie the top performer in her group with a score of 26.000, which was matched by Kirsty Way en route to second place in her group.

That earned Britain an overall total of 13 points, with Portugal in second finishing with 12.

Spain were bronze medallists with 11 points, with Germany completing the line-up in the final with six points.

The British team of Kristof Willerton, a former individual European and world champion, Jaydon Paddock and Ramarni Levena notched 14 points in the men's tumbling final.

Willerton and Paddock both won their groups with scores of 29.900 and 29.700 respectively, while Levena was second with 27.200.

Denmark claimed silver with 11 points, and Azerbaijan completed the podium on eight.

Spain earned women's team trampoline gold yesterday, and were victorious in the men's team DMT final today in Rimini.

David Franco and Andrés Martínez won their groups with scores of 28.500 and 28.400, while Carlos del Ser came third with 26.400.

Spain scored 13 points overall, with Belgium second on 10, while Britain scored the same number of points and placed third.

The day's other final was the women's team tumbling, won by France.

Maelle Dumitru-Marin and Candy Briere-Vetillard scored 26.100 and 26.500 respectively en route to winning their groups, while Emilie Wambote placed second with 25.700.

France clinched 14 points, two more than Britain in the silver medal position, and Belgium completed the podium with 10 points.

Tomorrow is set to mark the penultimate day of the European Championships, with finals in the synchronised trampoline in the senior category scheduled.

Russia and Belarus led the medals table at last year's Championships in Sochi, but have been banned from this edition due to the invasion of Ukraine.
