Organisers of the Turin 2025 Winter World University Games have partnered with the ongoing Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in the city.

The event is taking place at the Palavela, a 2006 Winter Olympic venue due to stage competitions at the International University Sports Federation (FISU) event in a little more than two years' time.

The Winter World University Games Organising Committee is to have a physical presence at the event through its staff, plus its brand will gain promotion as the Italian Ice Sports Federation's (FISG) official media partner for the event.

Easy access is also promised for local university students and staff.

"This is an extraordinary partnership for us, an unmissable opportunity because we have one of the most important world figure skating events on our territory, indeed in one of the venues that will also be protagonists with the World University Games Winter in just over two years," Turin 2025 President Alessandro Ciro Sciretti said.

"It was unthinkable not to be present as Torino 2025, and we are keen to support the Federation [FISG] so that our event is a great opportunity not only for the territory, but also for the whole sports movement, growing the whole system for the benefit of Turin and Regione Piemonte.

"As President also of Edisu Piemonte, I am very pleased with the agreement signed with the Federation that facilitates access to the arena for those who are part of the regional university system."

Turin 2025 recently took out sponsorship at the Association of Tennis Professionals Finals to again leverage an event held in the city for its own promotion.

FISU has confirmed that Turin 2025 will take place between January 13 and 25 in 2025.
