Yang Hao, Chen Yuxi, Wang Zongyuan and Chen Yiwen all secured a hat-trick of titles in a sensational performance from the host nation at the Xi'an Olympic Centre Swimming.

All four divers were in the mixed three metres and 10m team that came out on top with a score of 469.35 points.

Germany’s Christina Wassen, Lena Hentschel, Moritz Wesemann and Timo Barthel came second with 425.35, while the British team of Jack Laugher, Yasmin Harper, Matthew Lee and Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix posted 420.15 for bronze.

Yang teamed up with Lian Junjie to win men’s 10m synchronised gold after notching an impressive score of 457.23.

The silver medal went to British duo Lee and Noah Williams who registered 418.98, while Ukrainian teenagers Oleksii and Kirill Boliukh sealed bronze with 395.01.

The men’s 3m synchronised title was won by Long Daoyi and Wang who also overcame British opposition.

This time, China clinched gold with 484.74 to beat Laugher and Anthony Harding who had to settle for silver with 414.75.

German pair Wesemann and Lars Rudiger made it into the top three with 389.34.

Yang finished the tournament with three golds, including victory in the men’s 10m platform final.

The Chinese ace proved too strong, winning with 574.40 as Oleksii Sereda of Ukraine sealed silver with 518.30 and Japan’s Rikuto Tamai bagged bronze with 433.80.

Wang matched Yang’s three-title haul when he emerged victorious from the men’s 3m springboard final with 553.15.

Laugher recorded 442.95 for silver, while Wesemann grabbed bronze with 438.70.

Chen Yuxi and Quan Hongchan excelled in the women’s 10m synchronised final, scoring 373.20 to seal top spot.

Britain’s Spendolini-Sirieix and Lois Toulson finished second with 310.44, while Germany claimed another bronze courtesy of Christina and Elena Wassen’s score of 282.78.

Chen then got the better of Quan in a gripping final of the women’s 10m platform.

A score of 431.20 saw Chen claim victory, pushing Quan into second with 423.50.

The battle for bronze was won by Spendolini-Sirieix who finished with 360.30.

There was also a terrific tussle between Chinese pair Chen Yiwen and Chang Yani.

The duo teamed up to win women’s three metres synchronised gold with 329.52 as Britain’s Scarlett Mew Jensen and Harper and Germany’s Hentschel and Jana Lisa Rother grabbed the other two podium spots with 281.43 and 265.26 respectively.

Chang and Chen then locked horns in the women’s 3m springboard final, with the former taking the title.

Chen secured gold with 392.70 as Chang came second with 336.55 and Japan’s Sayaka Mikami earned bronze with 302.30.
