All 33 countries which are due to compete were represented at the Chefs de Mission seminar for the 2023 Parapan American Games in Santiago.

Meetings and visits to competition venues took place durig five days in the Chilean capital.

Brazil, which topped the medal table at the last Parapan American Games in Lima in 2019, are expected to bring a delegation of more than 500 people.

"We're very happy," said their delegate Jonas Freire.

"We received a lot of information, and we visited the sport precincts. 

"Everything is going very great and we thank the Organising Committee for this moment."

Carlos Barbosa, Colombia's representative, added: "We're pleasingly surprised. 

"Since we crossed the airplane door we've seen a high-level of organisation.

"We're happily leaving the country because planning is at a great level."

A total of 17 sports are on the Parapan American Games programme, with the event due to take place between November 17 and 26.

It will follow the Pan American Games scheduled to take place from October 20 to November 5.

Jorge Palma, Cuba's representative, said: "In each place, we always counted with specialists that exposed their work with great eloquence. 

"It's very admirable what they've been achieving. 

"We expect they keep the same or even better while we get closer to the Games."
