Serbia secured a historic sixth title in just eight tournaments as they defeated the US men's side 21-19 in the Rathausplatz final.

Dejan Majstorović posted a game-high seven points in the thriller as well as four rebounds as he recorded a remarkable player value of 11.

Despite Majstorović's majestic performance in the final, it was Strahinja Stojačić who was the jewel in the crown as he ended as his team's top scorer with 55 points.

The 30-year-old was named as the Most Valuable Player and was joined in the team of the tournament by the US's Jimmer Fredette and Nauris Mieizis of Latvia.

Fredette was top scorer overall with 59 points while Mieizis' all-round influence was reflected in his player value score of 50.8, the third highest of the men's competition.

Olympic champions Latvia cruised past Brazil 22-12 to claim the last spot on the podium.

The duo of Karlis Lasmanis and Nauris Miezis combined for 13 points in the game before Agnis Čavars scored the two to hand Latvia the victory.

In the women's tournament, the US took gold for a third time as they beat defending champions France 16-12.

Hailey Van Lith and Cierra Burdick were in fine form as they combined for 14 points to carry their side to glory.

Throughout the tournament, Cameron Brink was the main attacking outlet and finished with 39 points as a result.

This helped her to the Most Valuable Player title while Frenchwoman Laetitia Guapo and Australian Marena Whittle also featured in the team of the tournament.

In the women’s bronze medal game, Australia defeated China 21-20.

Marena Whittle scored 11 points, taking her campaign total to a whopping 70 points.
