China ran out 25-18, 27-25, 27-25 winners to make it four victories from four at the Nippon Gaishi Hall.

Brazil proved to be their toughest test as China battled hard to triumph 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, 20-25, 15-12.

China then saw off Germany 25-19, 25-20, 25-22 and The Netherlands 27-25, 23-25, 25-22, 25-20 before beating Japan.

Pool A, which was hosted by Antalya in Turkey, was dominated by Poland and the US.

Their biggest challenges also came in the first round of matches as Poland and the US emerged victories from five-set battles against Canada and Serbia respectively at the Antalya Sports Hall.

Poland beat Canada 20-25, 25-23, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13 before the US edged Serbia 25-20, 19-25, 21-25, 25-21, 15-12.

The US also found life tough against Italy, winning 25-16, 14-25, 22-25, 25-20, 15-19 before downing South Korea 25-16, 27-25, 25-11.

The American team made it four wins from four courtesy of a 25-22, 25-22, 22-25, 11-25, 15-19 success against hosts Turkey.

After getting the better of Canada in their closely-fought opener, Poland kicked on with three impressive wins.

The Polish team beat Italy 21-25, 25-20, 25-14, 25-18 before seeing off Thailand 25-20, 25-16, 25-21 and Serbia 25-18, 25-22, 30-28.

Turkey, Brazil, Japan and Germany won three of their four matches, while Thailand currently hold eighth spot after two victories.

All 16 teams face two more weeks of group matches to determine the top eight that will progress to the final round.

The second week is due to run from June 13 to 18 with matches scheduled to be held in Hong Kong and Brazilian capital Brasilia.
