The Athletes' Commission at the British Virgin Islands National Olympic Committee hosted a webinar called "Building Your Athletic Brand".

Commission chair Ashley Kelly, a sprinter who competed in the 200 metres at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, hosted the session which aimed to teach athletes how to unlock their commercial potential.

She was joined by Chantel Malone, who won the women's long jump title for the British Virgin Islands at last year's Pan American Games in Lima.

Priscilla Frederick, a double Pan American Games high jump silver medallist from Antigua and Barbuda, and media consultant Sofia Fay were also part of the webinar.

It was open to athletes from all sports, with the use of social media to create financial opportunities among the topics covered.

British Virgin Islands has competed at every Summer Olympics since Los Angeles 1984, and two Winter Games.

The territory has never won a medal, but it is hoped Malone can change that at the postponed Tokyo 2020 next year.

Another hope is men's 400m hurdler Kyron McMaster, the reigning Commonwealth Games champion.
