Nitro Circus has entered into a partnership with Indigo Road Entertainment and plans to visit 26 different cities in North America in 2021.

The action sports collective also plans to perform at festivals and state fairs, which are described as an area where Indigo Road boasts expertise.

Nitro circus was co-founded by American action sports star Travis Pastrana in 2003 and has since gone on to produce television shows, live events and the Nitro World Games.

A multi-discipline champion, Pastrana has won 17 X Games medals - 11 of them gold - in motorcross and rally events.

Brisbane in Australia is set to host the Nitro World Games in October next year.

The 2020 edition in Welsh capital Cardiff had to be cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Nitro Circus' live events began in 2010, and more than 130 have since followed on five continents.

"We are excited to collaborate with Indigo Road on our return to live touring," said Joe Carr, chief executive of Nitro Circus' parent company Thrill One Sports and Entertainment.

"Their extensive network of venues and festivals across the country puts us in a great position as we look forward to a big year in 2021.

"After being sidelined for so many months, our athletes can’t wait to get back to doing what they love and put on spectacular shows for our North American fans."

Venues and dates for Nitro Circus' American and Canadian tour next year have yet to be announced, but organisers say it will include shows that had to be axed this year because of the pandemic.

Indigo Road bills itself as a "full-service entertainment company" and currently works with musicians including Snoop Dogg and Nelly, offering services ranging from artist management looking after stages.
