The daughter of the Olympic Council of Asia's (OCA) Acting President, Raja Randhir Singh, has qualified for the Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games in shooting.

Rajeshwari Kumari won a women's trap qualification event to seal a place on India's team for the Games in China between September 23 and October 8.

It continues a family tradition as Singh is a five-time shooting Olympian who won gold in the men's trap at the 1978 Asian Games in Bangkok.

He also added a team silver and individual bronze in Delhi in 1982.

Singh's father, and Kumari's grandfather, Bhalindra Singh, was President of Asian Games Federation (AGF) when his son won his three medals.

The AGF became the OCA in November 1982.

Raja Randhir Singh has been serving as Acting President of the OCA since November 2021.

It followed the self-suspension of Kuwaiti powerbroker Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah after he was found guilty of forgery by a court in Geneva.
