"Asian Games Mailboxes" have been set up across the continent inviting people to send messages of support for this year’s re-arranged event in Hangzhou.

The scheme, an initiative of Phoenix TV and ifeng.com of Hong Kong, China, was launched last week.

Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) vice-president for East Asia and President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, was among those to leave his message.

Jeremy Walker, editor of the OCA, wished Hangzhou 2022 success on a card, spelling out the Cantonese phrase "Mo Mantai", which means “No Problem”.

Hong Kong and Hangzhou, a major economic and e-commerce hub within China and the second biggest city in Yangtze Delta after Shanghai, have developed an increasingly close relationship in recent years.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club, a world-class racing club, has assigned specialists to Hangzhou's equestrian venue several times to conduct on-site investigations and business exchanges, and offer technical support for the equestrian event of the Asian Games.

A number of promotional events promoting Hangzhou 2022, which was due to take place last year but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and have been re-arranged for September 23 until October 8, have been held in Hong Kong.
