The event took place in Kazakhstan's capital city of Astana and took just three months to organise claims Ospanov.

"We are really proud to have held this event," he said.

"These athletes are the future of jiu-jitsu, so we are really happy to have had this event here.

"Thanks a lot to the JJIF and JJAU for believing in us.

"Thanks a lot to all of our National Federations who have joined us."

It is reported that the Kazakh Government provided the majority of the funding for the Championships and was influential in its rapid delivery and success.

"We have a new President of the Kazakhstan Jiu-Jitsu Federation and he has agreements with the Government," said Ospanov.

"We have Government support so everything is going well so thanks to our Government for their help to develop jiu-jitsu in our country and our region."

The event had approximately 80 volunteers working at the event that Ospanov also praised for their contributions towards staging the Championships.

"I feel really happy to see all of the jiu-jitsu community here, to see my friends, my family," Ospanov concluded.

"I want to wish health to everybody."
