Italy and Spain won the men's and women's titles respectively at the 2023 Euro Beach Soccer League in Alghero.

The men's final saw the hosts come out on top in a 5-4 thriller while Spain defeated Portugal 3-2 in an Iberian women's gold medal match.

Ovidio Alla opened the scoring for Italy in the 12th minute with a long-range volley.

Marco Giordani added one more with a bicycle kick in the second period before a freekick from Jose Manuel Arias hinted at a Spain comeback.

But Giordani scored his brace to bring back the two-goal cushion for Italy, going into the final period.

Gianmarco Genovali scored at the beginning of the third period, but the celebration did not last long as Giordani scored an own goal to help Spain come back again.

Jose Antonio Oliver added one more to make it tight before Giordani made up for the mistake by completing his hat-trick.

There was time for one more goal from Oliver, but Italy held on to win the title.

Belarus defeated Portugal 6-5 to win the bronze medal with Anatoliy Ryabko scoring three.

Spain retained the women's title with Andrea Mirón starring throughout the tournament.

The deadlock was broken in the ninth minute when Cristina Gonzalez Chaves scoring from a penalty.

Carolina Carol made it 2-0 three minutes later before Jessica Jessi scored from a counter attack at the start of the third period.

Érica Ferreira then scored a quickfire brace to cut the deficit but could not build on the momentum.

Poland defeated the Czech Republic 2-1 in the bronze medal game.
