Jakhongir Mamatrakhimov, Iriskhon Kurbanbaeva, Utkirbek Turoboyev, and Obidkhon Nomonov won their respective contests as the Uzbeks triumphed 4-2.

The judo competition saw 84 athletes from 14 countries take part, with each team comprising of three men and three women from various weight categories.

Japanese and Algerian teams won bronze medals after defeating the Netherlands and Germany.  

The contest between Japan and the Dutch was a straightforward affair, with Kazuya Maeda, Haruno Kumeda, Keita Iwao, and two-time world champion Nae Udaka coming out on top to win 4-0.

The second bronze medal match saw Johann Lenz start with a win for Germany before Sonia Asselah equalised.

Algeria made it 2-1 thanks to Mustapha Yasser Bouamar but the score waw again level when Jana Ziegler triumphed.

But Messaoud Dris and Amina Belkadi sealed the deal 4-2 in favour of Algeria.

Wrestling medals were also distributed today in the Saudi capital with two men from Ukraine winning titles.

Firstly, Roman Kiziuk secured the 92 kilograms gold, defeating Mantas Daublys of Lithuania 3-1 with Pablo Nieto Estepa of Spain settling for bronze.

Ivan Malin got the second title for Ukraine in the G1 100 kg division, defeating Reda Hamed Mebtouche of France 3-1 as Moldovan Eldar Rafigaev took the bronze.

Mayis Nersesyan of Armenia in the 66kg, Ulugbek Rakhmonov of Uzbekistan in the 84kg and Sarsen Zhetibayev of Khazakstan in the GI 71 kg class were the other gold medallists.

Hungarians replicated Ukraine's performance in women's wrestling as Alexa Toth took gold in the 58kg, beating Viktoriia Syniavinaof Ukraine 3-1, with Aizhan Ismagulova of Kazakhstan winning bronze.

In the 90kg, Nikoletta Renata Szmolka triumphed 3-0 against Claudia Carmen Carbonne Fornes of Spain as German Darina Goldin of Germany finished with bronze.

Rui Hirabayashi of Japan in the GI 53kg,  Antonia Gamila Kanew of Germany in the GI 64kg, and Kateryna Stepanova of Ukraine in the GI 71kg were the other title winners of the day.
