With a total of 326.10 points, the 23-year-old secured victory, with Grace Reid taking second place with 307.80 points, and Amy Rollinson finishing third with 264.20 points. 

"This one is special as well [as the synchro selection], it means so much to me. To be able to do it on the day and be there doing your dives, and after that knowing that I'll be able to compete it individually at an Olympic Games is really special," she said.

"Grace is a veteran in the event and she's amazing, she really knows how to put the pressure on. So it was great to have her in there putting that on me and seeing how I could cope with that, so I'm really pleased. You always need that because the pressure doesn't end, it just keeps coming, more and more!

"I really enjoy the atmosphere and the noise of the support, I find it really motivating. I am so grateful for all the support that my teammates, family, everyone brings to me, because it means a lot. To have so many people backing you really means a lot," Harper added.

The Sandwell Aquatics Centre hosted the pivotal selection competition for the individual 3m springboard and 10m platform Olympic diving disciplines, as well as the European Championship diving team.

In each of the individual events, two spots for Paris were up for grabs, contingent upon a diver winning the event and meeting a predetermined points threshold in both the preliminaries and final rounds. Harper met the qualification criteria, while two-time Olympian Reid's fate rests with the selectors' discretion.

Grace said, “I’m a little bit overwhelmed (after winning the silver medal), it’s just been a massive journey. Three years ago I wanted nothing to do with the sport and I really battled and didn’t think I would be here three years later. It is testament to the village of people behind me that have helped pick me back up and stick me back together. 

"It’s been so pressurised and immensely tough to just hold your nerve and I knew today was going to be a mental battle more than physical. I’m pleased with some of the performances I have done this year but every opportunity has been a learning curve and it has all served today.”

In another event, Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix and Lois Toulson emerged victorious in the women's 10m platform synchro final. Having already secured spots on Team GB for the Olympics, the duo achieved a score of 308.16. Earlier sessions, saw Noah Williams break the 500-point barrier during the preliminaries of the Men's 10m Platform event, ensuring his position as the last diver in the final session, which will conclude the 2024 Speedo Aquatics GB Diving Championships on Sunday afternoon.

As a Tokyo Olympian and already securing his spot on Team GB for Paris alongside Tom Daley in the Men's 10m Synchro event, Williams delivered outstanding performances, earning two dive scores exceeding 90 points each. He displayed excellent form throughout, culminating in an impressive total score of 506.85. Robbie Lee secured the second qualifying spot, with Kyle Kothari finishing third.
