Jos Buttler, captaining the team at 39, rejoined the England set-up after the birth of his third child. He hammered seven fours and one six during his innings, leading the charge alongside Phil Salt (45) in an opening partnership of 82 runs in only 6.2 overs.

Pakistan found no response to England's aggressive batting display as Buttler's team swiftly reached 158-3, dismissing the tourists for 157. This clinical victory was secured with four-and-a-half overs to spare, just before their departure to Barbados for the T20 World Cup.

Previously, Pakistan captain Babar Azam (36) and Mohammad Rizwan (23) capitalised on reuniting at the top of the order. They formed a rapid 59-run partnership (36 balls) after being sent in to bat. However, Jofra Archer (1-31) and Adil Rashid (2-27) spearheaded England's fightback.

Pakistan's middle-order batting faltered, leading to a slip to 86-5. They lost Shadab Khan and Azam Khan for ducks. Liam Livingstone (2-17) then delivered a double-wicket maiden in the 15th over, dismissing Usman Khan (38) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (0).

Adil Rashid (2-27) and Mark Wood (2-35) each claimed two wickets as Pakistan's batting collapsed under pressure. This happened just a week before their first game at the World Cup against USA at Grand Prairie Stadium.

Babar and Rizwan provided a strong foundation for their team with a solid start. The Pakistan captain reached the milestone of 4,000 T20I runs in style, hitting Chris Jordan through the covers for consecutive boundaries in the fourth over.

Archer continued to demonstrate his value to England as he made the breakthrough, claiming the crucial wicket of Babar. Babar managed to hit him for four through point from consecutive deliveries before falling to a slower delivery on the penultimate ball of the powerplay, caught behind square by Rashid. In the subsequent over, leg-spinner Rashid struck again, toppling Rizwan's middle stump as the hosts regained control.

The departure of Pakistan's openers sparked a further collapse, with Babar's side tumbling from 65-2 to 86-5 within four overs. Iftikhar Ahmed (21) and Usman Khan (38) injected some momentum into the middle order with a 40-run partnership, guiding Pakistan to a modest 145-8 by the 18th over. 

However, a remarkable catch from Jordan disrupted the partnership off Livingstone's delivery, who then dismissed Afridi (0) in the same over. Wood's skillful death bowling proved crucial as he wrapped up the tail with his blistering pace of 95 mph, inducing a leading edge from Naseem Shah (16), caught behind by Buttler.

In the last over, Livingstone executed a run-out to dismiss Haris Rauf (8). Rauf attempted to exploit a wide delivery towards deep third, hoping for an unreachable two, consequently leaving Mohammad Amir (0) isolated at the opposite end.

The Cricket T20 World Cup gets underway from 1-29 June, with England's first match against Scotland in Barbados on Tuesday 4 June.
