USA Baseball has unveiled its 2024 Collegiate National Team schedule, featuring highlights such as the International Friendship Series with Chinese Taipei and the Summer League Tour.

The WBSC turns 10 years old as the international governing body of baseball/softball on 10 Friday, and is marking the occasion with a massive celebration, the first ever World Baseball Softball Day, and an innovative campaign inviting National Federations and the wider baseball/softball community to get involved.

The Edgar Renteria Stadium in Barranquilla will host one of the two groups, the Super Round and medal games. Cartagena's Once de Noviembre Stadium will host the other group and the placement round.

After umpiring at the Triple-A level in 2023, the 47-year-old former softball catcher was called up by the Houston Astros-Washington Nationals of the Cactus League and is on the call list for 2024.

Veronica Alvarez returns to USA Baseball to lead the coaching staff for the fourth time, joining Reynol Mendoza as pitching coach and assistants Alex Oglesby and Malaika Underwood to lead the American team to the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup Final from 28 July to 3 August 2024.

Born in Brazil, he is of Italian descent and holds dual citizenship. He has represented both countries internationally as a left-handed hitting catcher and now he manages the Austrian Champions Diving Ducks and will be part of Team Europe's coaching staff.

The former ExtraLiga star outfielder became the first manager to lead the Czech Republic to the World Baseball Classic. He will serve as manager Marco Mazzieri's first base coach. "World baseball needs European baseball to be strong," he stressed.

A total of 18 teams will open the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) U-18 Women's Softball World Cup in three groups of six teams at three different venues in Monteria, Colombia, in in Pingtan, China and in Dallas, USA.

Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, hosted an interesting activity with the ultimate aim of promoting and developing baseball on the African continent. The World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) does great work all over the world.

The newly formed Mexican Softball League (Liga Mexicana de Softbol - LMS) has announced the games schedule for its historic inaugural season. The league will open on 25 January, with each of the six teams playing 24 regular season games.
