Ferhat Arican and Ahmet Onder joined Asil in contributing to a winning score of 168.550 points at the Olympic Velodrome.

Uzbekistan sealed silver with 162.400, while Kazakhstan totalled 158.400 to overtake Azerbaijan into third place.

Turkey’s performance in the rings proved to be decisive, racking up 29.000 - 2.750 more than Uzbekistan, while they also top scored in vault and uneven bars.

Asil also secured the men's individual all-around title as he notched 84.900, producing the best score in floor exercise, rings, vault and high bar.

Azerbaijan’s Ivan Tikhonov earned silver with 80.850, while Uzbekistan’s Rasuljon Abdurakhimov bagged bronze with 80.650.

There was also Turkish success at the Konya Athletic Field, with Esra Turkmen getting the better of Eda Tugsuz to win the women’s javelin throw.

Turkman finished first with 57.46 metres as Tugsuz came second with 56.59m and Uzbekistan’s Nargizakron Kuchkarova secured bronze with 56.08.

The men’s 110m hurdles crown was won by Algeria’s Bouanani Amine who came home in 13.21sec.

Senegal’s Mendy Louis Francois sealed silver with 13.28, while Kuwait’s Yaqoub Alyouha came third with 13.30.

Qatar’s Abubaker Haydar Abdalla emerged victorious from the men’s 800m final, winning in 1:47.59.

Sudan’s Sadam Koumi finished second in 1:48.14, while Morocco’s Hafid Rizqy won bronze in 1:48.22.

Bahrain’s Winfred Yavi and Morocco’s Abderrafia Bouassel won the respective women ‘s and men’s 3,000m steeplechase titles.

Kazakhstan’s Mikhail Litvin was crowned men’s 400m champion after crossing the finish line in 45.36.

Saudi Arabian duo Yousef Masrahi and Mazen Alyasen clocked 45.80 and 45.95 respectively to complete the podium.

Bahrain’s Dawit Admasu won the men’s 10,000m gold in 28:31.14, while Uganda’s Abel Chebet came second in 28:31.39 and Djibouti’s Bouh Guelleh Moumin finished third in 28:33.01.

Taekwondo competition continued with Turkey’s Rukiye Yildirim beating Iran’s Ghazal Soltani to capture the women’s under-49kg crown.

There was disappointment for home favourite Hakan Recber who was defeated by Morocco’s Abdelbasset Wasfi in the men’s under-63kg final.

Uzbekistan’s Ulugbek Rashitov won the men’s under-68kg gold, beating Javad Aghayev of Azerbaijan in the final.

Farida Azizova of Azerbaijan saw off Iran’s Zeinab Esmaeili Varaghoul to win the women’s under-67kg title.

There was a one-two-three for Turkey in the Para swimming with Sümeyye Boyacı coming out on top in the women’s 50m backstroke final ahead of Sevilay Öztürk and Emine Avcu.

Beytullah Eroğlu of Turkey won the men’s 50m backstroke final.

Second place went to Bakhtiyorjon Ortikov of Uzbekistan, while Hamit Demir of Turkey earned bronze.

There were more medals for Turkey in the women’s 100m backstroke as Şevval Beren Mutlu took gold and Rüveyda Arslantaş collected bronze.

Husnah Biramahiire Kukundakwe of Uganda finished second.

Iran’s Shahin Izadyar clinched men’s 100m backstroke gold, with Azizbek Boynazarov of Uzbekistan coming second.

Abolfazl Zarif Pouresmaeilyazdi of Iran came third.
